CAPTURING THE ECCENTRIC, MAXIMALIST GENIUS OF MEGHAN

Founded in Los Angeles in 2003, Meghan Fabulous has made her mark in women’s closets and hearts worldwide with her joyful designs. Meghan’s mission is to make women feel beautiful with her wearable art and to showcase the wearer’s inner beauty. By combining wild and colorful patterns, Meghan’s custom designs remind the wearer that she’s untethered, unique, and free at heart. AOK was hired to craft a pitch deck that distilled the vision, and help elevate and refresh the e-commerce sites for two of the brand’s lines: MEGHAN FABULOUS and BOHEME LOS ANGELES.

Weaving the fabric of Meghan’s brand heritage across her portfolio of collections. 

At AOK, we deeply care about ensuring all bodies are considered in the design process and so Meghan’s refreshing approach to celebrating all shapes brought us joy. We have extensive experience within retail and fashion but hadn’t encountered anyone quite like Meghan. Her designs channel tropical destinations and we wanted to make sure prospective investors and partners would feel her unique maximalist wow factor in the garments and accessories she creates. We gave Meghan a fresh color palette inspired by her own love of beaches and the resort lifestyle. We also shaped the brand’s heritage story and crafted personas for her customers in order to better connect the dots from her designs to the women buying and wearing them. 

ECOMMERCE EVOLUTION

AOK Group set out to improve the user experience for MeghanFabulous.com shoppers once the broader brand strategy and pitch deck were in place. We moved into more tactical recommendations by partnering with their developers to offer up strategic ideas for quick wins that would move the needle for shoppers. We surfaced thoughtstarters like activating the wide range of celebrity styling and press mentions more, to engaging users within the registration flow with quizzes and enhanced onboarding to introduce the brand. We made architectural recommendations to the e-commerce management around granular but important elements like tagging conventions for color, size, silhouette, pattern, and more. We also engaged in a number of partnership discussions with loyalty offerings that could tap influencers and galvanize ambassadors from within the existing customer base– all really great grassroots ways to maximize growth of ABS and LTV. 

BOHEME REFRESH

For their higher-end line BOHEME LOS ANGELES, we were tapped to refresh the site with a new campaign strategy that would bring Meghan’s incredible spring vision to life. We created two options to spotlight her stunning versatile kimonos – that span from everyday to eveningwear to even actual intimates and also bring to life her camisoles and butterfly-inspired camo jackets that bring femininity and luxury to utilitarian silhouettes.

Always a traveler and seeker at heart, she’s craving artistic evolution and creative reinvention.  Everyday is a segment of her journey and BOHEME offers incredibly unique wearable art that reflect her independence and let her emerge like a butterfly from her chrysalis.  She craves open fields of flamingo pink tulips, and rolling hills with picturesque picnics, she’s the Empress of her own destiny and when called to evolve, she’s dressed for an unusual adventure.

Even wanderlust needs to regenerate and rejuvenate.  Soul searching starts with reflection whether it’s a bath with the finest oils, candlelit dinner and a movie,  or dressing your skin in angel soft silks.  Color palettes and beacons of transformation nourish her soul with fantasy– in dreams and reality.  The butterfly transports her to an imaginative land only she knows exists.  Dreams inspire action and adventure,  but not until she’s reclaimed her imagination.
